Holly’s Picks for June 19th

Hiya everyone!

I want to start my first Picks Post by thanking you for being interested in what I’m excited for! Every Monday night I will make a post about the books I can’t wait to get my hands on, and then Thursdays I’ll come back and tell you if they were everything I dreamed of and more! Feel free to chime in with your opinions in the comments below!

Lets start with an Indie this week!

writer: James Roberts

artist: Alex Milne

This great title along with TRANSFORMERS ROBOTS IN DISGUISE branched off of the Death of Prime back in January of 2012. This story follows Rodimus and his wacky crew aboard the lost light in search for The Knights of Cybertron. What I love about this book is the fact that Roberts can manage to throw every single robot’s dysfunctional personality into every issue. He takes you along for one crazy adventure after another, pulling in past events which happened from a previous series to something that happened back in issue 4. This series is one that I’ve continued to read multiple times and look forward to rereading in the future! It takes you through all the emotions and never stops giving you great action! A must read to committed comic fans!

writer:  Brian Michael Bendis

The big finale is here! AOU has been a crazy ride since issue #1! We’ve seen how Hank Pym’s creation could have effected the world, we’ve see how it would of effected our heroes as we know them! We’ve seen what Wolverine would do. . . (we all knew that’s what Wolverine would do) now lets see how Neil Gaiman’s Angela will fix it! This issue will arrive poly-bagged, exciting the inner collector inside of me, to open or not to open? To buy two copies or to make Hank open his copy!? …Yeah I’ll be buying two copies and it will be the first book I rip open this week!

writer: Justin Jordan

The new story arc of Green Lanterns has excited me so much, I am most anticipating starting the new arc on New Guardians! I have pulled a synopsis from our distributors site for you guys, I hope it sounds as cool to you guys as it does to me!

“The Templar Guardians have been locked away for millennia, but they have a VERY clear idea of what they need to do next – and of all the Lanterns in the universe, they need Kyle Rayner’s help. So it’s a shame he wants nothing to do with them! But once he sees the strange anomaly lurking at the edge of the universe, he may have no choice but to get on board with their mission…”
