X-Men: Days of Future Past-Massive Mutant Gathering at Comic Con
So one of the many overwhelmingly exciting sizzle reels to be released at this years San Diego Comic-Con came from the Fox Studios panel as they released the first teaser trailer to X-Men: Days of Future Past by director Bryan Singer. The panel began by being swarmed by a massive mutant gathering with pretty much the entire cast of the film, including: Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Anna Paquin, Jame McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Peter Dinklage, Evan Peters, Omar Sy, directory Bryan Singer, and producers Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, and Hutch Parker.
The sizzle reel revealed an older version of the original X-Men cast as well as Bishop and Blink in a time where mutant rights are a thing of the past. We can assume that this future they now inhabit is one plagued by Bolivar Trask’s Sentinels who seek to destroy mutants. The original cast is seen wearing body-armor like suits as they make their way through some ancient temple. Xavier (Patrick Stewart) tasks Wolverine with the mission to “end this war before it ever begins”, and thus sends Wolverine into the past to confront a younger, broken Xavier.

I’m sure we’ll see a full teaser trailer go public soon, but for now the promise of James McAvoy and Patrick Stewart coming face to face as Stewart pleads, “Please, we need you to hope again”, will have to hold us over until then.
